Needle &Thread Stampin' Fun

After returning from Orlando On Stage event, some of my team met to "play" with our new stuff from the Occasions preorder.  Doris wanted to use the Needle & Thread set.  She is an avid quilter, watercolor painter, and rubberstamper. The card you see above was created by her.  I love the new Gingham Gala paper that we received for attending On Stage along with many other goodies.  This new stamp set is a Distinktive set.   It's amazing how it looks like stitching.  It has wonderful matching dies.  One of the dies makes a beautiful stitched looking design seen on the card below.

This card I made using a new butterfly punch and the Gingham DSP.  The butterflies were cut out of DSP available with a $50 purchase January 3 through March. The other 2 stitched cards were made by Rona and Carolyn.  See the Stampin' Up video below about this new product.  We learned a great tip at On Stage about distinctive stamps and very inky stamp pads.  If a pad is brand new or just reinked it may be too inky for the distinctive stamps and you may not see the detail.  All you need to do is use a plastic spoon or bone folder to push the ink away in a spot on the pad.  Brilliant!  Then you have an area that is just right.

Blessed Christmas to You

This is the ornament I crafted for those on my team attending our annual holiday luncheon.  We all gathered at a lovely historic home in Fruitland Park, FL turned into a restaurant.  It's called Rose Plantation.  The setting is charming on a lake with beautiful rose gardens.  Back to the ornament, I used  Bethlem Edgelits, Layering Circles Dies, Night of Navy and Whisper White cardstock to create this ornament.  The plastic ornaments I ordered online from Michael's.  I also added some snow I had in my stash.  I used both tombo multipurpose glue and a hot glue gun.  Here's wishing you all a blessed holiday season.  Thank you for your continued patronage and friendship.  I am truly blessed to have each one of you in my life!

Canal Class December 13 2018

This is Nancy's card using sponging technique instead of coloring with markers. Many people have overlooked this great stamp set in the annual catalog page 59, Peaceful Place. It looks great stamped in one color, sponged, or colored in.

This is Nancy's second card using Still Night, retiring soon with matching dies. It comes with 2 great greetings wishing you a season filled with beauty and sending warm wishes your way.

This is a card I cased from a swap I received during November Stampin' Up On Stage event. It uses Artistically Asian stamp set and stripes EF.  I used Basic Black and Cherry Cobbler cardstock. I taught the group how to use the stamparatus and markers to stamp the floral image. If it's to light, it is so easy to do another coat or add ink to one spot. Because the lower part of the image is all leaves we used the Mossy Meadow ink spot to do that part for quicker stamping . The background strip uses versamark ink and gold embossing powder.
This card was my design. The stamp set is Alpine Adventure and matching dies, retiring soon. Order yours today. I also used Bokeh Dots with Balmy Blue ink on the stamparatus to create one panel. The other panel is embossed with Cable Knit EF. The mat is embossed with Softly Falling EF. I hope you liked my wintery card. The only snow I see here in Florida is on the cards I make. I like it that way!

Canal Class November 29, 2018

These are the two versions of my Farmhouse Christmas card made at class November 29.  I used Garage Gears dies available on January 3, 2019 on the birthday version. The dsp is called Festive Farmhouse.

I cased this card from Amy Koenders.  I used Winter Woods bundle.  We placed glitter on the tips of the branches. The greeting is heated embossed with white embossing powder.  These next 2 cards were taught by Nancy.

I Love What I Do

I am so lucky to do something I enjoy so much, teaching card classes and being a Stampin' Up independent demonstrator.  I love going to Stampin' Up events twice a year.  It is a great opportunity to be with 7000 like minded crafty people!  The excitement at these events keep me motivated and excited about what I do.  While I am at On Stage in Orlando this week with my team we will be having a shoe box swap with each other.  So during our free time we have all prepared the supplies in a shoe box so that we can make each others cards.  This is the card I have designed and prepared for my team to make at On Stage.  I used Love What You Do Stamp set, Flourish thinlits, Stitched All Around thinlits, Mint Macaron Ink and Frosted Floral Specialty Paper.  The paper is the focal point.  This pearlized paper was designed by Stampin' Up this year to celebrate their 30 year anniversary.  Pearl is the gem for 30 years so I thought it was fitting to use this paper on my shoe box swap card.  It is a pretty fast and simple card to make.  The silver edged satin ribbon brings some nice bling to the card.

On Stage Gifts for my Team

Here is a bag I recently received with flex points.  I love this new logo of flowers that Stampin' is using this year. On November 7 through 10, I will be in Orlando for the big 30th Anniversary Celebration at On Stage Live Orlando.  I feel so fortunate to live close by.  My team keeps growing and 9 wonderful ladies from my team will be joining me at this big event.  On Wednesday we check in and then 5 of us will be heading to EPCOT for Center Stage and some fun times at Food and Wine Festival.  Thursday through Saturday we will be at the Orange County Convention Center.  I saw this great idea for the Tic Tac Gum Holder from Susan Campfield.  I also made laminated bag name tags for us to put on our On Stage bags so they don't get mixed up.  We are staying together at the Marriott Grande Vista timeshare condos so we want to keep our stuff straight.  To decorate the gum holder and tag I used Very Vintage Stamp set, apron builder dies, Crafting Forever Stamp set.  Nancy and I also made post it note holders and portfolio style folder to a wish list for On Stage.  This idea was also from Susan Campfield.  I will try to post pictures later.

Barn Wedding in Wisconsin

Here are the pictures from my niece Amy's wedding this weekend in Oconomowoc,Wisconsin.  The  wedding reception was in a barn. They had the cutest displays set up on antique door tables and dressers.

The wedding took place outdoors. It was a 40 degree day but sunny. It was a beautiful setting.
Both my niece and her husband are fire fighters for Johnson Creek.

My husband and daughters, Danielle and Breanne
As you can see I was cold so I had this blanket poncho on all evening.

Fall Wedding in Wisconsin

This is the card I created for my niece Amy and her fiance Scott.  The wedding is at Trinity Barn in Oconomowoc, Wisconsin this weekend.  I sure hope it's not too cold.  Living in Central Florida now, I am not used to the cold.  It dropped to 50 degrees last night and my feet were freezing.  I used the colors of her wedding Island Indigo and Tangerine Tango( both retired colors).  I used the Barn Door stamp set and matching dies.  The sentiments and flowers are from Beautiful Bouquet .  The bride I stamped inside is from Wonderful Moments.  I'm sure glad both my nieces are getting married so that I had a good reason to buy this beautiful set.  It was so much fun to make.  I had to take the ribbon off the wedding invitation to finish this card ,as I no longer had any Island Indigo ribbon.  I used White Shimmer cardstock for the door, Island Indigo for the card base, Tangerine Tango cardstock for the front sentiment and the barn door hardware is Silver Foil paper. The wreath is stamped with Crumb Cake ink on Crumb Cake cardstock.  I'll try to post a picture from the wedding next week.  It will be a busy week with a wedding in Wisconsin then the On Stage in Orlando celebrating 30 years.

You're a Blessing Swap Card for On Stage

This is the card I will be swapping at On Stage November 7-10.  I'm not sure how many I will have time to complete this week.  I have a Christmas Class on Tuesday and Club on Friday just before flying to Wisconsin for the weekend for my nieces wedding.  I was inspired by a card made by Melissa Davies.  See her card by clicking here. https://www.rubberfunatics.blogspot.com.  It reminded me of my grandma's china.  My sister now has that china.  I never noticed this hostess set until I saw her card.  The set is such a good complement to Tea for Two stamps set and dies in the annual catalog.  I have seen so many wonderful cards made with this set.  You must have a workshop or order of $150 or more to get this set.  I used Blueberry Bushel ink and ribbon.  I also embossed the mat with Climbing Vines embossing folder.  I heat embossed the cup and doily with white embossing powder then cut it out with the dies.  I think I will use my stamparatus to complete the rest of the cards so I can quickly die cut and then stamp them.  It may be a little tricky pulling the cut cup out without touching the Versa Mark ink.  Thanks for checking out my card today.  Give me a call to order your set.

Canal Street Class October 25,2018

The top 2 cards were taught by me. I used Pleasant Pheasant on the Thanksgiving card and Vertical Greetings on the top birthday card. I used the Subtle embossing folder on both cards. Since I didn't have any dsp on hand in matching colors I used the retired Fabulous Foil Designer Acetate .  The snowman card below Nancy used Bokeh Dots and Spirited Snowman. Doesn't that snowman look happy.  The last card Nancy used Healing Hugs. Our classes for November will be on 15th and 29th due to our On Stage attendance and Thanksgiving. We will meet at Bacaal Rec Center on the 15th and back at Canal on the 29th.
