Merry Christmas!

Merry Christmas to all of you.  I had to pose my daughter's dog Pebble in her festive Santa dress to send you Holiday cheer.  She is such a sweet dog.  She helps me destress each night by sitting on my lap under a blanket.  We both like to be really warm.

Pop-Up Birthday

I had some time now that the Holiday Rush is over for me.  The parties in The Villages are over and many people have left for Christmas or are busy with company.  I finally have time to play with my new stuff.  I love this new birthday suite of products.  Both the cake on the front of the card and the Hip Hip Hooray on the inside can be popped out on the inside.  The Party with Cake stamp set has lots of fun sayings for the inside.  Just what we have been asking for!

Botanical Gardens Post It Note Holder

Here is the first post it note holder I made for a gift for someone special.  I used the new Botanical Gardens DSP, Botanical Blooms stamp set, and Botanical Builder Framelits Dies.  All these products are in the Occasions catalog starting January 5, 2016.  Come check out all the new products at an Open House on January 5 at Nancy Thompson's house.  More information on my blog in the next 2 weeks.   I sponged a little ink on the edges of the flowers to make them pop.  I used 3" x 3" post it notes.  The cover dimensions are 6 3/4" x 3 1/4".  I scored at 3 1/4" from each end.  I used tear and tape to adhere the post it note paper inside.  The DSP is cut at 3" x 3".  Here are 2 more.  Which is your favorite?  If you would like a Occasions catalog, contact me today or attend our open house on January 6, 2016.

Uses for Leftover Embellishments

Don't forget to check your stamping stash when you are wrapping your Holiday gifts.  I used the Snowflake Elements to my ribbon for some extra interest.  Good thing I left them right on my desk so when I returned from vacation I would remember to use them on my gifts.

Cozy Christmas Card

This is the card I exchanged at our recent team luncheon.  I waited to the morning of to make this card.  I first had to get all those gifts done and the presents wrapped.  Did I mention I was at Disney World the whole week before and arrived home Monday night to finish the gifts and wrap?  I also had my Canal Card Class this week and my 2 clubs met and I had a luncheon for them with homemade cookies.  Needless to say I'm a little wiped this week.  But also excited to dive in and start making stuff with all the new Occasions product.  Anyway back to my card.  I cased the idea from a Winter diorama card I saw on Pinterest.  I used a different card fold but in my rush I didn't realize when I added that extra middle layer my card would not fold flat to fit in an envelope.  No problem it was hand carried and presented in a clear box wrapped in silver cording.  I used Cozy Christmas stamp set.  I didn't even buy this set until half way through the catalog.  Sometimes you fall in love with something a little later.  I especially loved the Santa and reindeer but this is the first card I used it on.  I used Dazzling Diamonds glitter and  white shimmer paper for the snow.  I will be showing my team how to make 3 D cards at our next Team Meeting.  Contact me today to find out how to join the fun.

Field of Flowers Frame

This is the 5"x 7" framed art I gave the 3 ladies in my second level team.  I cased the idea from a card in the Occasions catalog.  This stamp set we be available for free with $50 purchase starting January 5. I won it at the On Stage Local event during a prize patrol.  I water colored the flowers and embellished with lace doily and gold thread.  The saying is from Greatest Greetings.  That stamp set will be available for purchase January 5.  Contact me today to find out how to join my team.

Occasions Catalog Sneak Peak

I used the same simple layout for both cards.  The beautiful rose images do all of the work.  The first card I used the Rose Wonder stamp set and Rose Garden Thinlits dies.  You will be able January 5 to purchase them as a bundle and save 15%.  I used heavy Whisper White card stock to cut the outline.  I water colored on Stampin' Up water color paper with blushing Bride and Pear Pizzazz.  I used Gold embossing powder for the greeting.  I water colored  behind with So Saffron.  The card below I used Birthday Blooms.  I used markers to color the image.  The colors are Rose Red and Wild Wasabi .  I added a few rhinestones for some sparkle.  Check back tomorrow to see the sampler I made for my team.

On Stage Tampa Swap Card

This is the card I swapped with other demonstrators this past weekend at the On Stage Local event in Tampa Florida.  It uses Pretty Thankful stamp set.  We made a similar card at Canal Street Rec class recently.  I used a Mojo Monday 351 layout to get started.  I love the color combo of Mint Macaron and Tip Top Taupe.  The picture below shows me winning a Sale-a-Bration stamp set available January 5 with a $50 purchase.  Who doesn't love to win free stuff?  What else did we do at this event?  Well we saw presentations on how to use the new products, celebrated demos achievements, ate lunch together, and played with new product.  It's was so fun to be the first to see upcoming product.  Attending this event allowed those attending to see new products before everyone else.  We cannot share even with our demo friends who were not able to attend until November 16 at 10 pm Mountain Time.  Want to join my team so you can attend these special events?  Contact me today to find out how   .

Center Stage Tampa

I love being a Stampin' Up demonstrator.  It is so much fun to attend events and meet with other demonstrators to share ideas with each other and be with people with the same passion.  Stampin' Up spoils it's leaders with a special event every 6 months.  I went to Tampa on Friday night for the Center Stage event.  We had a special catered dinner, received a gift and had a presentation to help us grow as leaders.  As you can see the table was set very beautifully.  I attended with Deb Pippin from Inverness, Jan Hoyt from The Villages and met a new friend Andrea(top Pic) from St. Petersburg.  The special gift was a planner and tote to hold embellishments and of course they had already filled some of the pockets with embellishments.  Check back tomorrow to see the card I swapped at the On Stage Local event on Saturday.

Canal Street Cards from October 8, 2015

The top card I cased from Pinterest.  I used Garden in Bloom stamp set to create the designer paper look on the background. The ink and card stock colors are Soft Suede, Old Olive, and Hello Honey.  I like the way the soft suede looks like gold.  The tag was made with scallop tag topper punch.

The second card is my own design using Flurry of Wishes stamp set and Snow flurry punch.  Save 15% by buying the bundle.  Stamps and punches make quick cards.  I used Lost Lagoon card stock and ink on the background snowflake.  The punched snowflakes are heat embossed with silver embossing powder.  I added some Bermuda Bay sequins for extra sparkle.  The 3/8" taffeta ribbon is on the clearance rack.

These next two cards were taught by Nancy.  The greeting is from Reason for the Season stamp set.  I love the vintage look of the Home for Christmas designer series paper.  She also used the doily die which is on the clearance rack.

Her second card she used Bordering Blooms and Light Hearted leaves stamp set.  The images were colored with Crushed Curry, Old Olive and Cajun Craze markers.  The Woodlands Embossing Folder makes a great background for this Fall card.  I didn't buy this stamp with the preorder, as I thought I wouldn't have much time this year to make Fall cards.  The more cards I saw made with this, I fell in love with it.  It will be great year round.  It's fun to color in or stamp in one color on colored cardstock.

Snowy Scene

I'm home now from my Transatlantic Cruise/European vacation and ready to dive into Fall classes.  I am so glad I took the time to prepare for classes before departing on August 30.  It was much easier to relax.  I know on those sea days I would be thinking of all that I could be getting done instead of sitting with a book.   I hope you enjoyed seeing all my creations for the past 2-3 weeks. l am most looking forward to seeing all my friends that were away all Summer.  Welcome back!  Oh yeah about the card.  It's another Hearth and Home card which we will make in my Christmas Classes.  Contact me today to sign up.

Festival of Trees 2015

I didn't want to neglect my stamp sets that carried over from last year.  Of course I paired it with some brand new product from both the Annual and Holiday catalog.  I love to do heat embossing on Christmas cards.  The green is Cucumber Crush.  I love the Holiday Fancy Foil Designer Vellum.  It is $11 for 9 sheets.  There are 3 Christmas tree, 3 Candy Cane stripes, and 3 snowflakes.  I will be using these papers in my cards for my Christmas card classes.  They are set for October 15 and 29.  Contact me today to reserve your spot.  In each class we  will make 5 different cards for $20.
