Canal Class October 31, 2019

These are the 2 cards Nancy taught at class last week.  We had 3 classes in October and will only meet once in November due to Thanksgiving.  The bottom 2 cards were taught by me.

Canal Class October 24,2019

These top 2 cards were Nancy's.  The bottom 2 cards I taught.

 This was my own design. The colors are Merry Merlot and Cajun Craze. The stamp set is a hostess set called Holiday Haul.  The bottom card uses 2 stamp sets Beautiful You and Beautiful Friendship.  The colors are Blushing Bride and Seaside Spray.  It's becoming my favorite light blue.  I cased the card from Pinterest.

Canal Class October 10, 2019

I cased the first card from Patsy Waggener who made this card for a Sunday Sketches SS045 challenge.  It uses the Banded Together Bundle.  I didn't buy this right away when the catalog came out but I've seen so many pretty cards using this set.  The DSP is Pressed Petals.  You get 24 sheets in this pack for $14.50.  I hope you don't mind that I case so many cards for class but I see these beautiful creations and I just have to make them.  I hope you loved making this card as much as I did!

My second card uses Snowman Season Bundle.  The background is created with Real Red cardstock embossed with Hammered Metal 3D EF.  It kind of looks like faux leather embossed and hammered metal debossed when using foil papers.    I used the ovals from Stitched shapes.  The arms are just punched with Soft Suede CS.  The snowman is stamped with Memento Tuxedo Black and colored with Blends.  I added some snow with the puffed paint.  A heat tool is required to get it to bundle up and dry.  the greeting is from Itty Bitty Christmas and is heat embossed with white embossing powder.  The 2 cards below were taught by Nancy.

Canal Class September 26, 2019

My first card was created with Seaside Notion stamp set and paired with Tasteful Backgrounds dies.  I saw a card on Pinterest that inspired me.  The colors I used were Grapefruit Grove and Coastal Cabana cardstock.  The inks were Crumb Cake, Calypso Coral, Coastal Cabana.  The shell is colored in with Crumb Cake Light Blend and Grapefruit Grove Marker.

 The second card I used Detailed Bands Dies and Beautiful friendship stamp set.  I cased this card from Julie Gilson  her blog is www.stampingala.com  I loved all 3 projects she did with this set.  I think it was a Facebook live that I watched.  I also loved the color combination of Coastal Cabana and Highland Heather.  Can you guess that Coastal Cabana is one of my favorite colors?  The ribbon is Gorgeous Grape.  She really showcased the Scripty Embossing Folder.  After completing the stamping on the front I ran it through the Bigshot with Scripty EF.  WOW it just takes it up a notch.  This is a 3D folder so use the Blue Plate with your Big Shot.

Nancy wasn't at class last time so she didn't see my cards.  Turns out she cased the same Woven Heirloom card I saw.  Hers was different colors Bermuda Bay and Very Vanilla.  She created the background with the long textured stamp using the Hinge Technique with her Stamparatus.  If you don't know what that is I have a class on October 14 at 1 pm teaching that techniques and other Stamparatus techniques.  This is a small class at my home so you can learn how to set your stamps out and make the most out of your Stamparatus.  Her second card uses Toile Christmas Bundle.  The greeting is stamped in Real Red.  The branch is colored with blends and then the background is sponged.  I'm guessing it was Pool Party ink.

Canal Class September 12, 2019

Both my cards were cased this time.  I used Woven Heirlooms Bundle.  The center piece of paper with the sympathy greeting is DSP called Woven Threads.  The frame was cut from Pretty Peacock cardstock.  Using two pieces of the stamp set the 4 x 5 1/4 piece was stamped with Sahara Sand and Pretty Peacock ink.  To add a little more texture I stamped on the leaves and punched them out with Leaf punch.  I also used the sprig punch and sparkle glimmer paper.  The flower was cut with Medium Daisy Punch.

This next Christmas card is my very favorite bundle from the Holiday Catalog.  It's called Frosted Foliage.  The colors are Whisper White and Seaside Spray.  I few rhinestones just finishes it off.  If you really want to step this card up, you could use the new Shimmery Crystal Effects and Ice Stampin' Glitter.  It will take at least a hour to dry.

These next 2 cards were prepared by Nancy but Keely helped her out and taught the class with me.  Special thanks to my friend Doris for finishing the last hour of my class so I could make my changed flight to my nieces wedding.

Purple Posy Ink Pads and refills Available & 3 D Embossing Folders

There are a few new updates from Stampin' Up.  First of all the long awaited Purple Posy Ink Pad and refill from the 2019-2021 In Colors are now available for order.  Stampin' Up redesigned the way they make 3D embossing folders so those that carried over were not available for the last few months.  I am happy to say that you can now order any of the 3 D folders from the Annual Catalog.  The Hammered Metal 3 D embossing folder is now available to order as well(found in the Holiday Catalog).  Don't forget that you need to use the 3 D Blue Big Shot Plate #149658 for $10 instead of a Clear Big Shot Cutting Plate.  You could also try using the Silicone craft sheet with the Clear Big Shot cutting plate.

On the horizon is a new Stampin' Up Trimmer with both Metric and Imperial Measurements on it.  The cost of the trimmer will be $25.  Demonstrators can order it this month and customers starting next month.  If you want to sign up to be a demonstrator it can be placed on the starter kit.  Refill blades in packs of 4 will be available too.
