Seaside Bay Make ‘n Take Card

This is the card those that attended the mini catalog open house on January 5 were able to make. The card base is Mint Macaron. The By the Bay paper coordinates with Coastal Cabana according to the catalog but I think Mint Macaron matches better. I love the gold in the designer paper.  Being I live in Florida and love the beach this stamp set is my favorite in the new mini catalog. The images are stamped in Crumb Cake and Mint Macaron ink. The shells are colored with Petal Pink Blend.I added a Petal Pink die cut shell to the bottom of the card.  I have classes upcoming on January 12 and 26 at Canal Street Recreation Center at 9 am and 1 pm. I also have a new class starting at Lake Okahumpka Recreation Center on February 10 at 12:45. Contact me to preregister by calling 414-801-0870.

Canal Class October 8, 2021

The first 2 cards were taught by Nancy.

This is Carrie's card using Detailed Bands dies and Sounds of the Seasons dies. The 2 pictures below I used retired salebration paper, dies, and stamp set. We had so many classes canceled this Spring we are trying to use up some of those supplies that did not get used.  I did use the So Sentimental bundle for the greeting from the 2020-21 annual catalog.  I love that pretty dsp and this was a perfect fold to show it off. I cased the card from Patty Bennett.

Canal Street Class from August 27,2020

These top 2 cards were taught by Nancy. The card below I copied(cased) the idea for the look of a make up compact from Pinterest.  The front design is my own.  I used leftover DSP from the Spring Mini catalog.  The die on the front is the new Hippo and friends dies found in the Annual Catalog.  It is becoming one of my favorite die sets.  The next card is a different fold called Double Flap Fold that I cased from Leann Greff.  I made a few changes with a punched instead of stamped jar and also an extra stamped piece on the inside right of flap.  Scan to the bottom of page to see her Youtube. You can shop by clicking on the sun at right of this page.
See Leann's card and Youtube below.

Festive Corners Meets Snowman Season

I loved creating this shaker card to showcase a new stamp set in the Holiday catalog called Festive Corners #153462 for $17 and I paired it with the snowman stamped from Snowman Season #150458 for $18 found in the Annual Catalog.  I colored with the Blends and added some snow from leftover fake snow from a past catalog.  The Tasteful Label die was used to create the window.  That is the same dies I used on yesterday's card.  I hope you liked it?  Need any of these cute products shop by clicking the sun at right of the page.  Also used on this card Winter Snow embossing Folder #153577 and Blue Adhesive-backed Gems #153547 and Snowflake Splendor 1/4' Ribbon #153548.

Tasteful Touches Window Card

Version 1

Version 2
I have been seeing lots of window cards on Pinterest so I decided it give one a try for my Stampin' Club this month.  I love the pretty stitched line that the Tasteful Labels dies leave behind when cutting out the card.  The card base is cut 11"x 4 1/4" of Misty Moonlight cardstock.  The greeting is stamped on a scrap cut from Seaside Spray cardstock. Do you see the fine embossed detail on the edge of this die.  It's so pretty.  The DSP on the front is In Good Taste cut 4"x 5 1/4" .  Inside Whisper White cardstock is 4"x 5 1/4". Butterfly and sprig is Daffodil Delight cardstock using Butterfly Beauty dies.  Inks used were Misty Moonlight and Daffodil Delight.  Check out the In Good Taste Suite Collection #154147 for $85.  Shop my online store by clicking the sun on the right of this page.  Want to make 4 beautiful cards per month for free with a $25 or more order, contact me to join my Stampin' Club for 6 months.

Canal Street Class May 23,2019

The top two cards were taught by Nancy.
This first card of mine was made with Sweetest Thing stamp set. This was one of my favorite stamp sets in the Occasions catalog, available while supplies last.  I love the DSP colors Pineapple Punch, Gorgeous Grape, Coastal Cabana, Granny Apple Green and Melon Mambo.  I had Jolly Rancher candies on the table for everyone to enjoy during class.  I love sour candy.  How about you? We cut the shapes with the matching dies then used the Stamparatus to stamp the outlines of the jar and the greeting.  I love the glitter enamel dots that coordinate perfectly.  Stampin' Up's coordinating products is what drew me to this great company.  The bottom card uses beautiful DSP called Petal Promenade. It paired so well with the Delicate Lace Edgelits(comes with 3 different lace edgelits).  I love each one!  We heat embossed the Sympathy greeting with Gold embossing powder and finished it off with 1/8" gold ribbon bow.

Valentine Cards for Florida Youth Ranches

Nancy's creation

                                    Cased from Pinterest
                                      Cased from Mary Fish

                                                My design

On Thursday my Create in the Sun team met to make cards for the Florida Sheriff's Youth Ranches. We love to help out by making these special cards for them for holidays through out the year. Most of the youth are teenage boys so it is a challenge to design cards that appeal to them. We also make cards for cottage parents.  Thank you Mary Elizabeth, Marjean, Lisa, Nancy, Diane, Doris, Carol, and Carolyn.  I think the friends of the Youth Ranches will be pleased with what we created.

Needle &Thread Stampin' Fun

After returning from Orlando On Stage event, some of my team met to "play" with our new stuff from the Occasions preorder.  Doris wanted to use the Needle & Thread set.  She is an avid quilter, watercolor painter, and rubberstamper. The card you see above was created by her.  I love the new Gingham Gala paper that we received for attending On Stage along with many other goodies.  This new stamp set is a Distinktive set.   It's amazing how it looks like stitching.  It has wonderful matching dies.  One of the dies makes a beautiful stitched looking design seen on the card below.

This card I made using a new butterfly punch and the Gingham DSP.  The butterflies were cut out of DSP available with a $50 purchase January 3 through March. The other 2 stitched cards were made by Rona and Carolyn.  See the Stampin' Up video below about this new product.  We learned a great tip at On Stage about distinctive stamps and very inky stamp pads.  If a pad is brand new or just reinked it may be too inky for the distinctive stamps and you may not see the detail.  All you need to do is use a plastic spoon or bone folder to push the ink away in a spot on the pad.  Brilliant!  Then you have an area that is just right.

Canal Class December 13 2018

This is Nancy's card using sponging technique instead of coloring with markers. Many people have overlooked this great stamp set in the annual catalog page 59, Peaceful Place. It looks great stamped in one color, sponged, or colored in.

This is Nancy's second card using Still Night, retiring soon with matching dies. It comes with 2 great greetings wishing you a season filled with beauty and sending warm wishes your way.

This is a card I cased from a swap I received during November Stampin' Up On Stage event. It uses Artistically Asian stamp set and stripes EF.  I used Basic Black and Cherry Cobbler cardstock. I taught the group how to use the stamparatus and markers to stamp the floral image. If it's to light, it is so easy to do another coat or add ink to one spot. Because the lower part of the image is all leaves we used the Mossy Meadow ink spot to do that part for quicker stamping . The background strip uses versamark ink and gold embossing powder.
This card was my design. The stamp set is Alpine Adventure and matching dies, retiring soon. Order yours today. I also used Bokeh Dots with Balmy Blue ink on the stamparatus to create one panel. The other panel is embossed with Cable Knit EF. The mat is embossed with Softly Falling EF. I hope you liked my wintery card. The only snow I see here in Florida is on the cards I make. I like it that way!

Canal Class November 29, 2018

These are the two versions of my Farmhouse Christmas card made at class November 29.  I used Garage Gears dies available on January 3, 2019 on the birthday version. The dsp is called Festive Farmhouse.

I cased this card from Amy Koenders.  I used Winter Woods bundle.  We placed glitter on the tips of the branches. The greeting is heated embossed with white embossing powder.  These next 2 cards were taught by Nancy.
