Living the Life She Imagined-See Danielle's Video

This is the birthday card I was able to hand deliver to my daughter in May for her birthday.  As many of my friends and fellow stampers know my daughter is living her dream, dancing on a Celebrity cruise ship.  She started in April.  She has been in Alaska all Summer.  This week she is cruising down the coast of California.  It is a wine cruise.  In one week her ship will be heading to Hawaii and back to San Diego, taking 14 days.  She will get to do this three times before her contract is up.  She would love to continue to dance on another cruise ship.  See the you tube video of her dancing by clicking here.   This video will be used for auditions to other cruise lines.  I'm wishing her lots of luck.

Braided Cards

On Friday at Seabreeze Regional Recreation Center Carol Seitz taught us how to make this super cute cards.  I thought it was going to be challenging, but it was quite simple.  Go to her new blog to find the link to a template to make these cards.  Carol's blog  You will also see all the cards Carol created.  She  said she couldn't stop.  I made 2 at the class that were almost copies of Carol's.  I then came home and made 3 more(the one's above).  The crisp cantaloupe and crumb cake card is a CASE of another card Carol showed me last week.  It was not braided.  The top and bottom cards used 2 new embossing folders in the Holiday Catalog--stylish stripes #132174 and pretty print #132175.  They are becoming my new favorites.  Shop my online store by clicking here.

US Grant Hotel in San Diego

I know I'm strange.  I always take pictures of the bathrooms just to drive my hubby nuts!
These are pictures of The US Grant Hotel that I stayed at on my recent trip to San Diego.  I earned the trip from Stampin' Up for sales and leadership.  This beautiful hotel is located in the Gaslamp Quarter of San Diego.  It was very easy to get around to a lot of tourist attractions.  We visited Seaport Village, Balboa Park, Old Town and Coronado Island.  Stampin' Up had a hospitality table with information about tourist attractions, postcards for us to send home and special sweet treats.  They do know how to make a person feel special!  Isn't this hotel beautiful?

Visiting Old Town

We took a narrated trolley tour to Old Town to see the historic part of San Diego.  We ate outside at a great outdoor Mexican restaurant.  I bet you can guess what I ate.  Yes!  Fish tacos and a margarita!  You have to.  It's the thing to eat in San Diego.  We also had some great lobster tacos at a sports bar across the street from our hotel, The US Grant.  Check back tomorrow to see the pictures of the hotel and our room.

Pillow Gift from San Diego Getaway

September 12-15 I was on a getaway to San Diego that I earned from Stampin' Up.  Thank you to all my customers, upline Carol and downlines for helping me to get there.  The most exciting part for me was the pillow gifts.  This was given to me on the first night.  I love the bright colors!  Mexican culture is very important in San Diego's history.  Check back tomorrow to see where I went on day 2 in San Diego.

Happy Hour Christmas

I used an old Mojo Monday Sketch to design this card.  I love how it turned out.  It was one of my favorites that I made for the holiday open house.  Stamp sets used were Happy  Hour and Petite Pairs.  The designer series paper is Season of Style.  The card base is Early Espresso.  I used Cherry Cobbler and Old Olive markers.

New Circle Thinlit Die

I am loving this new thinlit die.  It make such a fun card!  I made a few Christmas cards using it for the recent holiday open house Nancy Thompson and I had.  It does work in the cuttlebug.  If you want more room to write, you can make a extra flap by cutting the cardstock 5 1/2" x 8 1/2"  You will need to put the excess cardstock over the top of the die so it will score and not cut the extra 2 1/4" .
