These are Nancy's cards from Canal Street class on October 25th.  Our next class at Canal Street is November 8th.  We will have a second class in November on the 5th Thursday November 29th at 9am and 1pm.  Please let me know if you would like a spot in any November classes.  We will have sign up for December 13 and 27 class starting November 8th.  Call or email me if you would like to attend. 

 

Spooktacular Sales

A big thank you to all who called or attended my open house on October 29th during the spooktacular event 15% off stamps sale.  I met my goal of  selling 40 stamp sets.  I will receive 2 embellishments and one stamp set from the Spring catalog.   

Club 2 card from October

This card was made with Stipled Blossom stamp set I won at Convention.  It is a two step set.  That can be quite challenging for new stampers.  Some of my stampers in this group are new to stamping.  So this card was made with only one step.  I think it turned out quite nice.  I CASED this card from stamping connections from Sandy.  I have opennings in a new club forming on the 4th Tuesday of the month at 9am at my house.  contact me if your interested.

Halloween Party Favors

I made 20 of these brooms out of tootsie pops for a halloween party last night for our neighbors.  Carol seitz has a link on her blog to a tutorial.

Here is the Fall card we did at Canal Street yesterday.  I used the four seasons hostess stamp set.  I love using designer series paper.  It's any easy way to pick color combinations.

Here's a masculine card I made with leftover scraps from cutting for Canal Street class tomorrow.  It's amazing what you can do with little scraps!

Watercoloring with Watercolor Wonder Crayons

This is the Beginner class card that was done with the watercolor wonder crayons  .It is my favorite way to watercolor.  I love the beautiful shaded affect that is possible using the crayons.  This hostess set Summer Afternoon is wonderful for water coloring.  Host a party and you can earn this set!  Or join my newest club meeting the 4th Tuesday of the month at 9am.  We will make 3-4 cards each time.  Each member commits to purchasing $25 or more in product each time.  One of the 6 months we meet you will receive the $25 or more in hostess dollars.  Contact me if you would like to join.  I have 2 spots available.  I hope to start in November.  We will not meet in December.  We will finish in May.

Here's nother masculine card I made from scraps from cutting cards for Canal Street class.  I used the stamp sets Word Play and Clockworks. 

Beginner class watercoloring

This card was made using watercolor pencils and an aqua painter.  Again, the same simple layout so they could concentrate on coloring. 

Beginer Class Coloring with Markers

Thursday Nancy and I taught the last in a series of three beginner classes for 10 lovely ladies.  We had 4 similar cards with line images from Summer Afternoon hostess set.  I wanted them to concentrate on learning the coloring , so I made the card layout very simple.  This card was done with light colored markers and used the blender pen.

October 11th Canal Street Class

Nancy Thompson is now teaching class at Canal Street Recreation Center on the 2nd and 4th Thursdays of the month with me.  We have a class at 9am and 1pm.  The charge for the class is $10.  There are 20 spots available.  Reservations for a spot in class will be taken 1 month prior or later.  Nancy did at great job for her first class!  Don't you agree?

Embossed Snowflake

Today is my last in a series of three beginner classes Carol Seitz and I taught for 10 ladies.  We will be focusing on heat embossing and watercoloring.  This card uses Snowflake Soiree and Curley Cute stamp sets.  I absolutely love to heat emboss!  It makes such a WOW.

Scrapbooking Page

Today I shared this scrapbook page with my upline, sidelines and Nancy my new downline at our meeting.  I used  Patio Party designer series paper, In Color Dalias, elegant buterfly punch and Perfect Pennants Bigz L die.  I scraplifted this idea from a SU convention display board.  We are at the Bubble Room in Sanibel, FL.  It's a very colorful place!

Scrapbooking

Tomorrow I meet with my Stampin' Up group to share ideas.  We will be talking about the new MDS2 digital software and about scrapbooking.  We all are bringing a scrapbook page.  I scrap lifted this idea from a SU convention display board.  I also able to get some pictures from this Spring scrapbooked.  I spend so much time on card making that my scraping takes a side line.  My sister, husband and I to the Thomas Edison museum.  The picture is of my sister and I.

Halloween Club Card

This is the Halloween card I made with one of my clubs this month.  I received this stamp set Toxic Treats for recruiting Nancy Thompson.  Nancy has been a scrapbook friend for the last three years and is in my first stamp club.  She is now teaching at Canal Street with me.  It's fun to be able to mentor another person like Carol Seitz did for me!  The far left is the front and other two cards are the inside.

These are my two cards from class at Canal Street today.  The top one was my own design.  We embossed with cherry cobbler embossing powder.  The bottom card was CASED from Kim Cantrall a Stampin' Up demo who posted this card on Stampin' Connections.  I love being a demo and getting great ideas from other demos!  The  stamp set is French Foliage.

October Club Card

This is another club card from this month.  Don't you just love the glimmer paper!  I also love the new ribbon buckles.  I CASED this card from my friend Daryl.  The DSP is Be of Good Cheer.  We embossed the greeting and a tree inside with the gumball green embossing powder.

This is one of my favorite Christmas cards that I have made this year.  I got the idea from the SU Convention display boards.  Below is the card displayed a Convention.

October club cards

This is one of the cards we did at club this month.  I'm putting to use all the free in color stitched ribbon I received with $40 purchases last month.  Dawn Olcheski demonstrated this card at convention in July.

Fast cards using the Core'dinations Card Stock

I made these 2 cards in less than 10 minutes.  they are so quick and easy.  Run the card stock through an embossing folder, a quick sanding, add some ribbon, add a stamped greeting or image.  It's so easy!  Core'dinations card stock comes in 3 colors--Gumball Green, Cherry Cobbler and Early Espresso.  The price is $6.95 for 12 sheets of 12"x12".  See page 6 of The Holiday Catalog.  Sanding system and dust buddy also on page 6.

World Card Day

I will be at Lake Miona Recreation Center Saturday October 6th from 10am until 3pm for World Card Making Day Event planned by Seabreeze Stampers Club.  Come join me and make this cute 3"x3" note card for free.  Learn about the new Co'ordinations paper and embossing and sanding.  I will also be demonstrating the use of framelits to make these cute holiday notecards.  I will be selling some of my cards for $3 each or 4 for $10.  There will be cards on display from many crafters in The Villages. 

Today is my Dad's birthday.  I forgot to take a picture of the card I sent him.  Maybe this is the card I will send him next year.  I made it for the open house Carol and I had in June when the new catalog came out.

Damaris' Birthday Card

I just love the cowboy boot in Bootiful Occasions stamp set.  My friend Damaris loves anything Western.  She considers herself a cowgirl, so I  had to use this set for her birthday card.  She loved it!

Canal Street Class Cards from September 27th

I love to search Stampin' Connection and blogs for ideas but frequently I do come up with ideas myself.  These two cards were my own.

We stamped the reindeer image from Make a Mitten stamp set on the7/8" cotton ribbon in the Holiday Catalog page 20.

I absolutely love the Perfectly Preserved stamp set and Cannery Set framelits.  That jar can be filled with so many cute things!

Welcome To My Blog

After almost 2 years as a Stampin' Up demonstrator I finally am starting a blog.  Please be patient with me as I learn how to navigate through this.  Please check back from time to time as I update the site with cards from classes and cards/ projects I am working on.  I hope to share some techniques, tips and some card recipes.
