Valentine Painter's Tray

 

Last year Fall I did a Halloween, Fall and Christmas Painter's tray.  In the Spring I had a painter's tray class in red white and blue to celebrate Memorial Day , Independence Day and Labor Day.  This year I finally had time to do a Valentine one.  I used both current and retired sets that spoke to me--Love-Fun-Chocolates.  Maybe this year I'll even have time to complete one for Easter!

Nancy's Cards from Canal Class January 23

Peachy Keen Club Card

I love the polaroid film framelit .  It's so in right now, as is the gold embellishments.  I used gold foil sheets, gold sequins trim and gold bakers twine.  The paper and washi tape is Retro Fresh.  This was one of 4 cards we made at club this month.

 

Anniversary Card

I made this card on January 1 for our friends who married on this date.  Fred and I married on January 3.  I used heart of flutter stamp set and watercolor washi tape and the new vellum.  The embossing folder is decorative dots available for free January 28- March 31 with a $50 purchase.

Canal Street Class January 23

This is the first card I taught on the 23rd.  it was inspired by a swap card from Gina Cardera.  I used Starburst Sayings and Starburst Framelits page 34 of the Occasions catalog.  The colors are Raspberry Ripple, Summer Starfruit and Gumball Green.  Get this marker colors for free when signing up for Paper Pumpkin by February 10.  Go to www.mypaperpumpkin.com .

I thought I would try some different classes with so many people trying to get into our class At Canal Street Recreation Center.  So with these classes you buy product and the class is free.

Another Leadershhip Swap Card

The inspiration for this card came from a recent visit to Sterling Heights Rec Center where Nancy teaches card classes on the first Tuesday of the month at 9am.  We left for a girl's day out to Magic Kingdom and tea at the Grand Floridian.  The next day Carol Seitz and I were off to Leadership in Houston.  I got up that morning showered, ate and packed.  I had about 1 and 1/2 hours, so I sat down to design this card.  it came together quickly and I was very pleased with the results.  I quickly stamped and cut all the pieces to make 20 cards.  I assembled the cards at the airport, on the plane and a few at the hotel.  What do you  think?  If you know me well, you know I had to buy this stamp set.  Anything to do with the sea.  This card is a sneak peak of the Sale-a-bration products Banner Blast and Banner Punch.  The other stamp set is Hello, Sailor.  The star is from Merry Minis Punch pack still available for $16.95 #126882.  The colors used were Real Red, Night of Navy and Daffodil Delight.  Those attending the Manager's reception at Leadership were given Hello, Sailor stamp set.

Lyssa's Leadership Swap Card

I love the bright colors in the designer paper, Kaleidoscope page 27, Occasions catalog.  I used Basic Black, Smoky Slate, Crushed Curry, Strawberry Slush and Bermuda Bay cardstock.  I also used the 1 3/4" circle punch and 1 7/8" circle framelit.  I also popped it up on a dimensional.  we will probably make this card at Canal Street classes this Spring.

Amanda's Graduation Card

My niece , Amanda graduated in December from the University of Wisconsin in Madison with a degree in mechanical engineering.  I sent her this graduation card a little late.  It was on it's way to her in Wisconsin while she was on her way to come here to The Villages, Florida for a visit.  I sure wish the weather could have been warmer for her.  While she was here, I helped her make 40 some thank you cards.  She will be heading to Northern Minnesota to work for Polaris at the end of the month.  I sure hope she doesn't freeze!  Check back tomorrow to see the Leadership swap card using the same stamp set, Pomp and circumstance.

Canal Street Class December 26

These are the two cards I taught on December 26th.  The top card is a Minion from the Universal movie.  It was requested by a few class attendees.  I cased it from Stampin' Connections.  The second card was my own design.  It uses the pop 'n cuts base and labels pop 'n cuts.  I suggested a tea bag could be tucked inside the pop up on the inside of the card.  Sorry I forgot to take a picture of the inside.  The Tea Party stamp set was used.  I will be teaching a boy birthday card class in the near future.  We will make a flip flop minion card.  Let me know if you are interested in attending.
