New Circle Thinlit Die

I am loving this new thinlit die.  It make such a fun card!  I made a few Christmas cards using it for the recent holiday open house Nancy Thompson and I had.  It does work in the cuttlebug.  If you want more room to write, you can make a extra flap by cutting the cardstock 5 1/2" x 8 1/2"  You will need to put the excess cardstock over the top of the die so it will score and not cut the extra 2 1/4" .

August 8 Canal Street Class Cards

Nancy Thompson taught the top two cards.  She used the tutorial from Dawn O. to get the measurements for the sunburst card.  The second card she CASED from Marcia Long.  It was a swap card I received at convention.

This was the card I did.  Thanks to all of you who voted for the technique you wanted to do.  Using glossy card stock allows one to sponge color on easily to get this soft look.  Unfortunately,  Stampin' Up no longer sells glossy paper.  We used Wetlands and By the Seashore stamp sets to make this card.

I cased this card from Amy K.  Sorry I don't know her last name.  My friend Garnette told me about her blog.  The bitty banner framelits worked great for cutting the DSP flags.

Which Technique Do You Like Better? Help Me Decide.

I can't decide which card technique to use for class on Thursday.  Help me decide.  Do you want to make the top card?  I used glossy paper and sponged on crumb cake, soft sky and daffodil delight ink.  Or do you want to make the bottom card.  I made the bottom card by dipping painters tape onto crumb cake, soft sky and daffodil delight ink pads.  I then applied them to Whisper white card stock and gently rubbed the tape and removed it.

What's New

Thinlits & the Best of 25 Years

August 4, 2013 Some of you have been asking what has Carrie been up to since Convention.  Well after returning from my 8 day trip to National Parks in the Southwest, I had 2 clubs meet that week, painted 2 bedrooms and reorganized my stamping room.  Whew!  I'm tired.  I didn't even get dressed today.  I did want to let you know what's new with Stampin' Up for August.  Soon I will start posting some cards.

They've been called flip cards, flip flop cards, swing cards, and more-but they have always been a bit tricky to create. Not anymore! Our amazing new Thinlits Card Dies cut and score to create a card that flips in just one step.
Available starting August 1, 2013

These new card dies come with extra die pieces that have versatile designs, so you can use them on other projects, not just flip cards.
The Circle Card Thinlits Die comes with 10 total pieces; the Label Card Thinlits Die comes with nine total pieces.
With the number of dies you're getting, plus the die that creates the card itself, the price is a great value-especially to create an interactive card!
