This card was designed using Charming Cafe. The colors are Pool Party and Island Indigo. I popped up the table and chairs. The coloring was done with Stampin' Blends.  Get this bundle while supplies last.  It will not be available in the next catalog.  The next card was made with Let the Good Times Roll. Who wouldn't want to receive this fun card.  The colors are Real Red and Night of Navy and Crushed Curry.  The clouds were sponged with Soft Sky.  The bundle price ends May 31 then available as stamp set and dies priced separately.
These bottom 2 cards were taught by Nancy.  The Cake Soiree' bundle is available just for May then it will carryover to the next catalog as a separate stamp set and dies.  The other card uses Southern Serenade stamp set.

NEW COLOR FAMILIES
color-collections
Aren't the new colors beautiful?  I just returned from On Stage Local in Milwaukee.  My sister-in -law Mary Sue joined me there.  It was great to spend some time with her and see other family and friends back in Milwaukee.  It was very cold and even a little snowy.  It was not exactly April weather.  The great thing was Shelli Gardner the founder of Stampin' Up hosted at the Milwaukee location.  Her husband pitched right in and delivered Prize Patrols to us.  I met  some creative people from the design team too.  I had the opportunity to see these new colors and make some cards with new product.  There are so many wonderful new colors, stamps, dies, embossing folders.  I can't wait until June to get my hands on all of these products.  Keep watching my posts as I share some sneak peeks of cards made with the new products.

Having Fun with Brusho

This is a card my Club ladies will be making this month.  It is a lot of fun to play with.  I love how you can get bursts of color.  You can also get a softer look by blending with water and a brush.  The butterfly was heat embossed with white embossing powder,   I then sprinkled the Brusho crystals and sprayed/misted with water.  I used an aqua painter to blend the yellow and red together on the wings.  I added a few sequins to add and little extra sparkle.  The stamp set is Beautiful Day.  If you would be interested in joining a stamping club, contact me today.  Click the shop button at right to buy these products today.

Black Ice Cards

I am so excited about this new technique I learned about on YouTube called Black Ice.  Melissa Kerman invented it and did a great tutorial.  I sat down that night and made 2 of the cards she showed how to make.  Then I came up with my own design and taught it to 10 friends at scrapbooking.  One of the ladies had never made a card before and she mastered it on her first attempt.  The card above I created using Copper foil paper.  It is matted with Cajun Craze cardstock.  The inking on the mat and foil is created by dragging archival black ink over the paper.  It looks kind of like linen cloth after.  You want to get ink on the top and bottom edge so drag up and down.  Also there will be fine lines of ink in the middle.  The image is stamped in archival black ink.  Dry it with heat tool or give it time to dry on it's own.  When dry, drag Versamark ink over the foil paper, pour clear embossing powder over it and heat.  It looks like rain on a window.  I used Artistically Asian stamp set because I think this technique reminds me of Asian Art.  I made 32 of these to swap at On Stage Local Milwaukee on April 7.  You get really good at a technique after making this many!
This is a close up of foil after heat embossing.
This is the card I taught at scrapbooking.
This one is my favorite!  It uses Waterfront which is a MUST HAVE stamp set in the Occasions catalog.  This card and the one below were cased from Melissa Kerman.  Check out her YouTube here.  If you make a mistake on the foil paper you can use StazOn cleaner and a paper towel and wipe of the ink and start over.  Give it a try.  My team will be making a card with this technique at our next meeting April 30 at 1 pm.
